Fill our hearts with wonder at the revelation of your glory that we have seen in Christ, our Lord.

[All:] And also with you! [Leader:] Through the prophet Jeremiah the Lord declares, "I have loved you with an everlasting love" [Jer. 31:3]. In hearing this let us not imagine God saying something pleasant but small, like"I think about you a lot." But as theologian Beth Felker Jones* puts it, "God's love is relational. God's love is self-giving, and this love transforms us in ways that match God's own love." God's love transforms us calling us to live with God, spending our time staying with the Lord, sharing ourselves, and sharing God with others. So, let us declare with the Psalmist -- [Leader:] How lovely is your dwelling place, O Lord of hosts! [Ps. 84:1–2, 4–5] [ALL:] My soul longs for the courts of the Lord. My flesh sings for joy to the living God. [Leader:] Happy are those who live in the house of the Lord, ever singing your praise, O God. [ALL:] Happy are those whose strength is in you, in whose heart are the highways to Zion. [Leader:] Let us pray... [Leader:] Jesus spoke to his disciples about wars, insurrections, earthquakes, famines, and plagues, but with instructions, “Do not be terrified!” Jesus calls his disciples to connect with him no matter the circumstances. He is our Protector, our Redeemer, our shelter in the storm. With this in mind, let us lift our hearts to the Lord, allowing him to give what this world cannot, everlasting joy and perfect peace. [Leader:] Sing a new song to the Lord, who has worked wonders, whose right hand and holy arm have brought salvation.
